St Giles & All Saints, Orsett Church – Exterior 1: The church from the southeast. The spire is incredibly difficult to photograph, as is shown here - it blends into the sky all to easily! St Giles & All Saints, Orsett Church – Exterior 2 St Giles & All Saints, Orsett Church – Exterior 3: The W tower occupies the westernmost bay of the N aisle. It is partly stone, and partly C17 brick. It has a large diagonal buttresses, and as can be seen in this picture, a bulky NW stair-turret. At the top it sports a white weather-boarded spire. St Giles & All Saints, Orsett Church – Postcard 1: Fire at Orsett Church, July 1926 Both Orsett and Tilbury fire brigades were in attendance at the fire which caused serious damage to the church, much of the roof was destroyed, ancient stained glass was also destroyed.
