St Mary (Old Church), Frinton-on-Sea Church – Exterior 1: A very small, early C14, church, which, before the chancel was extended in 1879, was perhaps the smallest in the county. There has been talk of this being the smallest church in the country, though I am afraid this is not true. There are several churches that hold the claim to this record. A quick Google for the "smallest church in England" should shed some light! St Mary (Old Church), Frinton-on-Sea Church – Exterior 2: The bellcote was part of the original village church, and was in existence before the extension of 1879. St Mary (Old Church), Frinton-on-Sea Church – Exterior 3 St Mary (Old Church), Frinton-on-Sea Church – Exterior 4: The S porch is an early C16 brick example.

St Mary (Old Church), Frinton-on-Sea Church – Stained Glass 1: Here are four panels of Morris glass, designed by Burne-Jones. These are in the early style of the firm, pre-dating the domination of colour schemes with peacock blues and greens.
